California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is a state agency responsible for the incarceration, supervision, and rehabilitation of adult and juvenile offenders in California. The CDCRs mission is to protect the public by ensuring the safe and secure incarceration of individuals sentenced to state prison, and to provide rehabilitative services to support successful reentry into society. The agency operates 35 adult institutions, 3 juvenile institutions, and a range of community supervision and reentry programs.
